Into the Light (Beware of Darkness)

Into the Light (Beware of Darkness) shows the struggle to find light and beauty when it is much easier to fall into darkness and chaos.

We all have times in our life where events happen that plunge us into darkness and it can seem impossible to go back to who we were before. While it is not always possible to go back, it is always possible to move forward. In moving forward we have to seek out the light however tenuous it may be and whatever form it takes. We are not always successful but all we can do is try. 

We end with a fragile beauty, the ever-present threat of darkness still over us attempting to conquer. Does it in the end? Possibly. That’s for the individual players and listeners to decide for themselves.

Instrumentation: 6 parts - A, T, T, B, GtB, CB 

The first tenor part can also be played on an alto if required. The second tenor part does divisi for a note at the end – if only six players are available it is recommended the player stays on the D.
