From Jewish Life by Ernest Bloch

Athem Music in its present form was born out of loss when its creator Torin, who envisioned it as a performing duo, passed last year. So it was very meaningful to be commissioned to do a recorder arrangement of Ernest Bloch’s acclaimed work for Cello solo ‘From Jewish Life’ so my client could enjoy playing works her late husband used to play. 

The cello line has been kept as a solo part, for bass recorder, so my client can enjoy playing it at home, and the piano accompaniment is now for 6 recorders, alto to contra. The bass solo is best suited for advanced players, with the accompanying parts suitable for intermediate/advanced players.
